Bar Manager in Jamaica Plain, MA

We are in need of a Bar and Dining Room Manager for our upscale Restaurant and Bar in Jamaica Plain, MA.Your primarily responsible for keeping the service and bar operations running with no problems. The manager is the 1 controlling, organizing, and directing all the staff in the bar and dining room. She assumes overall responsibility for the running of the restaurant and ensures that the operations run smoothly. She also manages the staff schedule, coordinates for event planning, imposes discipline among the staff, and serves as a liaison between the General Manager and the staff in administrative and disciplinary matters. In addition, this manager may work 2 bar shifts a week. But the main duty of our manager is to make sure that the restaurant operates efficiently and the customers are happy and satisfied with the quality of service they are receiving.QualificationsWe are looking for an experienced manager who possesses excellent customer service skills, ability to work independently, strong interpersonal skills, time management and organization skills, effective written and verbal communication skills and most of all leadership skill. You should also have at least two years experience as a bartender and 2 yrs experience as a manager.
